About Marissa
"You need a mentor who understands the intersection of complex data science and real-world application. My career spans 13 years of quant work and fintech systems development which informs how I break down difficult technical hurdles for my students.
While I hold degrees in BCom Economics and Actuarial Studies alongside a BSc in Data Science from UNSW, the true value lies in practical code implementation. I currently work with adults and absolute beginners who want to master JavaScript, SQL, or web development through project-based learning. My teaching character is rooted in patience and a commitment to precision. I find it deeply rewarding to watch someone grasp the logic behind an algorithm.
