About Laura

I’m Italian and hold a degree in neuroscience, but my true passion has always been teaching. Growing up, I was deeply inspired by a primary school teacher who made learning feel magical — and ever since, I’ve dreamed of creating that same experience for others. Teaching Italian allows me to connect with people, share my culture, and see the joy that comes with learning a new language. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch someone grow in confidence and expression, knowing I’ve played a small part in that journey. For me, teaching isn’t just about language — it’s about human connection.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be engaging, flexible, and completely tailored to you. I believe in a communicative, hands-on approach — focusing on real-life conversation, listening, and practical grammar, always in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Each session lasts between 1 to 2 hours, depending on your preference and goals. I’ve helped many friends learn Italian over the years, and that experience taught me the value of patience, creativity, and a personal touch in teaching. Whether you’re a child, a teen, or an adult, and whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, my lessons are open to all ages and levels. I’ll be with you every step of the way — making sure learning Italian feels natural, rewarding, and even a little fun!

I met Laura during my time at Cardiff University and learning Italian with her has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. She’s not only a native speaker, but also an incredibly patient, kind, and supportive teacher. Every lesson feels relaxed and fun, yet I’ve learned so much in a short time — from everyday conversation to deeper grammar and cultural insights. What I love most is how she tailors each session to my pace and interests, always making me feel comfortable and motivated. You can really tell she loves teaching, and that passion makes all the difference. I couldn’t recommend her more!
