About James
Hey! I’m James, I study Finance with Investment Banking at the University of Exeter, having studied Maths, Economics and Spanish A-Level. I am new to Superprof, however I have 350+ hours of tutoring experience from GCSE level to A-Level, covering Maths, Economics and science GCSE I am more than happy to support you through GCSE/A-level exams, and having had tutors helping me through A-Levels I understand the value 1-1 lessons can add, given a classroom environment may not always be suited to all students.
Alongside tutoring, I am a lead A Level Economics course creator for an international online school that has over 10,000 students globally, where I design full specifications, lesson content, exam practice, and marking guidance. This means I understand the Economics syllabus and examiner expectations back to front, not just at student level but from a teaching and assessment perspective.

My session typically consist of an introduction to the topic we will be covering. I tailor each session to the student individually, and will prepare resources, including essay feedback if necessary for Economics. I think it’s important for the sessions to be fun and engaging, so I work with the student at their pace and won’t move on until there is full understanding and confidence - they never need to worry about not getting something! I like to use online whiteboards in my sessions, especially for maths in order to show step by step solutions to problems. I am particularly familiar with the OCR A-Level maths syllabus, but can tailor to all exam boards and levels up until A-Level.
