About Cynthia
My online portfolio: (concealed information) Hi, I am a Hong Kong freelance comics artist which I working in the comic industry in my early career then changed Art teacher and Graphic+Packaging designer. I owning great passion in both art & design In late 2021, I made the decision to relocate the entirety of my life, skills and talents and move to the UK. Following 10 years of working within the graphic design industry, I have amassed significant experience suitable for any graphic design challenge. In the last 2 years alone, I have worked with Hot Toys to generate graphics for Spiderman, Venom, Avengers, Disney’s Frozen, Winnie the Pooh and Star Wars merchandise. I’ve also extended my skills to commissions for art and illustration, both digitally based and via traditional media. Through my experience, I am able to motivate and direct my talents and skills to different media such as graphite, Sanguine, colour pencil, watercolour, markers and acrylic. Helping you to develop the drawing technique and construct knowledge, meanwhile, enhance your ability of individual creative expressions, cultivate positive values and attitudes. I have a great passion of art education. Providing a good enjoyment and satisfaction through participating in arts activities with them. I am addicted to use watercolour and comics as my major art medium to capture beautiful things or poetic moment in my life. For me, Art is a meaningful media to tell stories, to express self emotion and to calm one person down. Therefore, it is so wonderful to see how my student express the world and mindset through their artworks with progressing skills. Hand-drawn Manga & Digital Manga on tablet Learn from basic construction sketching to finish drawing quick concept for comics cartoon illustration, manga, anime. Quick and easy drawing and sketching instruction, constructed and draw face and body: Torso, head. story making and framing will be taught as well. If you want to take your artwork to a new level, you may want to consider using a digital media platform to create manga. There are a number of well-designed programmes to help create digital artworks. ■Face to face lessons including: Narrative Drawing (3-9) and Sketching (>9) Drawing, representing objects or forms on a surface chiefly by means of lines, tones and colour, is a good way for art beginners to get started with. Classes are purposely designed to be fun, varied and experimental, to make the learning process enjoyable. You will be first introduced to do some no-pressure, small paintings of cartoon animals and simple everyday objects, gradually to a larger proposition. Once you are familiar with the media, more suppliers and theory are presented along the way, rather than all at once. Eventually, you will be able to composite your watercolour painting of still-life objects and pictures with your “New" colour senses.

I know Cynthia in Exeter. Cynthia is the third Cantonese teacher I've worked with and she is by far the best!
She has a very structured/objective based, yet highly adaptable approach to teaching, which has been extremely effective. We work together through a great course, which I have found very useful with respect to building a good vocabulary and understanding of Cantonese grammar. However, we often break off from this on focus on specific areas of language learning which may be falling behind. In my case this is generally spoken/conversational Cantonese.
She is super patient and has manner of delivery which I have found to be very re-assuring but also challenging when required. I'm not the most confident language learner, she takes this into account and pushes just enough without being overbearing.
I'd say she is capable of teaching Cantonese to any level/objective. Whether your aim is basic travel communication or fluency.
