About Cindy

I am a 32-year-old teacher and mother who moved to the UK three years ago, hoping to build a better future for myself and now for my family. Although life circumstances have prevented me from teaching here until now, I believe Superprof is a wonderful opportunity to take that first step and continue doing what I love.

Back in Colombia, I taught students of different ages and backgrounds. One of my favourite things about teaching was being able to share life experiences, learn from my students, and connect with people through language. For me, learning a language is about much more than grammar and vocabulary; it is about communication, culture, and understanding one another.

I want to teach English because I have met many people who live in London or dream of moving here but struggle with the language. I would love to help them gain confidence, feel more independent, and access new opportunities in their lives.

For those who want to learn Spanish, I would be delighted to share my Colombian roots, culture, traditions, and all the beautiful things the Spanish-speaking world has to offer. I believe learning a language opens doors to new experiences, friendships, and perspectives.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is communicative, interactive and student-centred. The lesson would typically last 60 min, with flexibility depending on the student's preferences.

I am a graduate of Javeriana University in Colombia, with over five years of teaching experience. I teach English as a Second Language and Spanish, my lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Whether you want to practise your conversational skills or improve your grammar, I can create a variety of activities and real-life scenarios tailored to the specific skills you want to develop.
