About Millicent
Hiya, my name is Millicent and I am a Pop/Jazz singer studying at Leeds Conservatoire. I am a Singer-Songwriter and producer as well as a vocalist. I have been doing function work for the last couple of years and recently released my debut EP "In Too Deep". My previous experience includes: Running Jazz Workshops at Guildhall Saturday School (Taunton), Assisting/Shadowing Vocal tutors at Guildhall and Nursery/Education work as a Nursery worker, Holiday Club staff and choir leader. I have recently completed a diploma in Contemporary Vocals as well as Level 3 Qualifications in Music A-level and an Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production. I am now looking to tutor online while at university to start my solo teaching career. I am available for Pop/Jazz Vocal tutoring (grades 1-8) and GCSE, A-level and theory Lessons online.

SINGING LESSONS: Lessons ranging from 20 mins -1 hour. Whether it's working your way up the grades, improving the tone and techniques of your vocals or just having a bit of fun I am the singing tutor for you! When starting out, I recommend new students send me a clip to showcase their current singing ability. That way I can tailor the first lessons to their needs. Every lesson, the student and I will complete a short learning plan to keep track of what they learnt and our goals for next lesson. I teach from age 5 upwards and provide a termly summary for parents to update them on how their child is improving! I have previous experience as a nursery worker and shadow teacher at the Guildhall Music School branch in Taunton. I am fully DBS checked and have worked with children with SEND needs from ages 2 - 18. I am also available for adult lessons teaching grade 1-8 Rockschool & Trinity. MUSIC EDUCATION (GCSE, A-Level & Grade 5 Theory) Lessons ranging from 30mins -1hr 30mins. A LEVEL/GCSE: If students are looking for tutoring in all 3 components of their course (Performing, Composition & Appraisal) I usually ask for a short video of them performing, and any composition ideas they have. I will also send over a couple mock questions from a past paper for them to complete before our first lesson. Composition Wise, I am happy to assist with DAW (logic, Cubase, Garage band e.t.c) and sheet music based compositions. As I also have qualifications in Music Production as well as classical composition. I can help students with the performance component by marking videos of their performances that they have (preferably) sent me before the lesson. This gives us more time to talk through my feedback in the lesson and means I can go through and mark it against the mark scheme. Please note: Although I do not offer instrument lessons in anything other than vocals, I am still able to provide feedback on GCSE & A Level performances in other instruments. Appraisal Wise, I have taken EDUQAS & AQA music exams but am familiar with the Edexcel and OCR Syllabuses. THEORY LESSONS -Lessons from 30mins -1 hr 30. Available to teach from grade 1-5 with ABRSM, Rockschool and Trinity.
