About Ruby
Hi, I'm Ruby!
I'm currently studying History BA at King's College London. I have also completed a year of History at the University of Manchester.
For my A levels, I studied History, English Literature and Sociology, and I have a genuine passion for these subjects.
I understand how daunting exams and challenging subjects can feel, and I want my lessons to always be a space to ask any questions, make mistakes and learn from them. I aim to help students build both knowledge and confidence.

My lessons are extremely supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I myself have dealt with ADHD and anxiety, so my own learning needs were not always the same as my peers'. Therefore, I place great importance on adapting my teaching style to each individual's strengths, challenges, and goals. Lessons can include discussions, questioning, interactive activities, exam practice, essay planning, and revision techniques to keep students engaged whilst simultaneously building their own confidence.
I have over four years of experience tutoring GCSE and A Level History, Sociology and English Lit.
Lessons are usually 45 minutes to an hour long, with the content and pace adaptable to suit each student.
Whether you're preparing for exams or struggling with a particular topic, or simply looking to improve your grades and confidence, I'll work with you to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
