About Arunika
Hello! I’m Arunika, a KS2 Maths tutor specialising in Year 5 students. I am passionate about helping children gain confidence in maths and develop strong foundations that will last through their school years. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, clear, and stress-free, while also preparing students gradually for Year 6 SATs.
I hold a BTech and an MBA, and I bring professional experience from the finance sector, including working at Federal Bank, completing an internship at Reserve Bank of India, and currently working in NHS Oxford. This experience has strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I incorporate into my lessons to make maths practical and understandable.
I want to teach because I enjoy guiding students to “aha” moments — when they understand a concept and gain confidence. I provide lessons tailored to each child’s needs and offer regular progress updates to parents so everyone can track improvement. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel motivated, capable, and confident in their maths journey.

I take a structured and student-focused approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the child’s level and learning pace. I begin by identifying areas where the student needs support and explain concepts in a clear, step-by-step way to build strong understanding and confidence. I use interactive questioning, guided practice, and gradually introduce SATs-style questions to support exam readiness in a calm and supportive manner.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with time for explanation, practice, and review. I hold a BTech and an MBA, and my professional background has strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my teaching.
My lessons are designed for KS2 students, particularly Year 5, who need support in maths or preparation for Year 6 SATs. I also provide regular progress updates to parents so they can clearly track their child’s improvement.

Details
I offer a free 30-minute introductory session for parents and students to discuss learning goals, understand current needs, and explain my teaching methods. This helps me tailor lessons for each child and ensures a supportive, confidence-building experience.
Regular lessons are £15 per hour, and each session lasts 60 minutes. This structure allows time for explanation, practice, and review, with gradual SATs-style question practice for Year 5 students preparing for Year 6 SATs.
I also provide regular progress updates to parents so they can track improvement and feel confident their child is on the right path.
