When I first went to Josh, I was not confident about my acting at all, he did his magic by finding things in my acting I didn't know were there and he found the potenial and gave me the key elements I needed to get ready for the drama school auditions. Josh is the best of the best. I was struggling to get any recalls, let alone get into any BA courses. As soon as I started working with Josh, I started getting recalls and then was lucky enough to get into two of my dream courses. Josh instantly makes you feel relaxed and brings the best out of you, pushing you in a way that is supportive and encouraging. I still use the incredible insight and techniques Josh offers me now-it’s not just about teaching you techniques to get into drama school, but techniques that I know will serve me for life as well as freeing me up to playful and trust my instincts.

Joshua has been brilliant! I’ve been working with him on Zoom for a few weeks now on my monologues for NYT and drama school auditions and he’s really helped me in not only sourcing monologues but also building up them up to audition standard. It’s been an insightful and enjoyable process.

Josh is highly skilled and incredibly kind. We worked together for two weeks on audition speeches for all the drama schools. I learned so much from him about Shakespeare and how to bring myself to the part. He helped me find ease and playfulness in the performance and shared his techniques generously. A text-forward approach, Joshua’s teaching style is effective and comprehensive.

With a discussion on character motivations prefacing performance, you quickly get down to the nitty gritty on who your character is, and what your character wants. This helps to give a truth based performance that is well thought through and rounded.

I’ve enjoyed every lesson I’ve had with Joshua and give him so much credit for enabling me to have the confidence I have today! He has been super professional, kind and patient with me and given me time to grow, also to develop my pieces. I’ve learnt so much in such a small amount of time. I never knew how much preparation I would need to go into my auditions with confidence, and now I do :) it’s easy to get carried away during audition pieces, although Joshua has really helped me find the truth within my characters situation which would’ve taken me so much longer to find if it wasn’t for him. I’m always excited for the next lesson with him. I highly recommend Joshua’s lessons as this has changed my perspective of what really goes into acting and will forever have him to thank with unlocking this outlook for me :) thank you Joshua!
