About Nicole
My name is Nicole and I am passionate about speaking other languages. As a native English speaker I think it's really important to learn other languages and not rely on foreigners to speak English. I am an optimistic and enthusiastic teacher who will help you improve your Spanish or French, along with growing your confidence and your abilities in your chosen second language.

I have a clean and clear approach to teaching, ensuring you have the fundamentals in place so that you apply them throughout the more difficult aspects of language learning. We'll practise speaking and reading, as well as listening and writing. Lessons will be 30 minutes long - short enough for you to take in the learning whilst long enough to teach new points. I have a degree in Spanish and have worked in companies both in Spain and Mexico. The lessons are suitable for students who are at beginner level to GCSEs, and everything between. I like to have fun, and have a relaxed teaching style, alongside goals so we know we are achieving.

Perfect! Well thought out and prepared based on what we discussed as our approach last week
Perfect! Nicole is friendly and works with you to understand what parts of Spanish are most important and applicable for you to learn. The lessons are focused on speaking which is very useful and then we always discuss what the next lesson is so that preparation can be done in the meantime.

Perfect! Nicole has produced a fantastic step by step plan for my learning journey, which is based around my specific interests and goals. So lucky to have found the perfect tutor just a few miles from me.
- We had a great first lesson together. I could tell you were a little nervous but you understood a lot of our warm up chat, answering ¿Cómo estás? and ¿has tenido una buena semana? very well. You struggled with ¿Qué has hecho? but I know you'll be prepared for this question next time ;)Nicole's response :
You knew all the vocabulary so that was 10/10 and you could read and pronounce all the mini dialogue - just remember vives is 'bee-bes'!
You answered the Guided Speaking Practice very well too - great work.
The listening practice was tricky - I threw different Spanish accents at you and did not slow the speech down so I think you coped really well. I think we could perhaps expand your vocabulary of different professions and hobbies so I'll note that as a potential option to cover in the future.
Cracking start - bravo.
