About Martha
I prefer the term guide to teacher, because I see myself as a guide in the learning process I learned that it is important to facilitate a light and playful learning environment and inspire confidence and trust. I found it essential to understand the students and deliver a learning journey that responds to their unique personality and needs. I therefore include varied approaches that are both relatable and practically useful to language speaking such as:
- role play
- conversations, interview skills
- creative writing and script reading/writing
- drama techniques
- situations applicable to real life/ reenactments

I have been teaching languages and theatre for the past 5 years in various projects with adults young people and children in after school clubs and community groups. After my MA at Goldsmiths, University of London in Theatre in Education I have worked on projects with Tate Museum, Greenwhich Theater, the Young Vic and Oxford International Trinity College teaching English through theatre.
