About Alexandra
Having studied English throughout my school career and utilising those skills on a daily basis in my legal day job, I have a real passion for the subject. I know that not everyone shares this passion but through my tutoring experience, I have had students bounce out of exams to tell me the creative ideas they were able to come up with in exams and truly discuss texts and their skills based on our sessions together.

Tutoring is not school or college and sometimes it can be daunting having all attention on you. My sessions are built upon an ideology that to truly understand something you must arrive at the conclusion yourself. With guidance and a bit of humour, we will create a bespoke series of 45min to 1hr sessions tailored to your areas of development, building these skills around strengths and have you feeling more confident in your English abilities.
I have tutoring experience analysing texts, essay writing, wider historical context & critical writing for GCSE and A Level students.
For younger students literacy and reading can be taught in a gentle and engaging way for any ages between 7 and 14 years.
