About Kirstin
I am a Law graduate who has been concurrently as an English tutor throughout my studies. I loved the subject in school and wanted to continue engaging with poetry and prose, tutoring gives me the perfect opportunity to do so. By discussing concepts and going over techniques in different areas of the subject, I am able to provide detailed insight into topics I am interested in, all for your own benefit!

Lessons are flexible, focusing on the students’ needs on a week-by-week basis. This can include going over past paper questions, content learnt in class and revising any areas that the student feels need more development. If preferred, lessons can be structured after a consultation discussing general weaknesses in the subject e.g. essay structures, time management. I am happy to mark past paper questions in advance to go over in future classes, provided there is at least 24hr notice so they can be reviewed thoroughly. Lessons are typically 45-60 mins, depending on student availability and preference. Tutoring is aimed at GCSE or A-Level students studying English Literature or English Language. I have 2 years of experience in English tutoring. On average, students have increased their grade by one or more boundaries by working with me.
