About Stephanie
What sets me apart is that I understand how hard it is to get good grades while keeping up with home responsibilities and trying to fit in at school. I understand the pressures students often feel from family members or other peers. When I was a student, my home life was not the best environment to learn and grow in. I had no resources or any options and no one to look up to, but I was able to graduate from college and law school. It might be a cliché, but you can do whatever you set your mind to!

I developed training techniques while I was a teaching assistant during college. I often have students write a short paragraph on anything they want to see where they need assistance. Once I review their writing I discuss what a student did well and what they can improve on.
I also have a student read aloud. It is sometimes hard to be put on the spot, but I don't have to watch. I listen to them carefully. Reading aloud can also reveal mistakes that a student has made in their own writing.
I am a tough grader, but I am fair and understanding. I don't just say "I want to see you succeed" I mean it.
