About Amrit
As a student who has been through the tough process of GCSE and A Level and now 1-2 months away from graduating my degree in Law i’m able to sympathise and understand students needs on how stressful and overwhelming assessments and exams can be. It takes a lot to understand a subject or a certain part of a subject sometimes where in classroom work and support just isn’t enough. However, being left to study alone with no support or feeeling behind can be made to make you feel more overwhelmed and stressed. During my GCSE time, i struggled a lot with maths. My tutoring for maths twice a week made me capable of understanding my subjects and not feeling overwhelmed, left and alone how the classroom did. Due to the past experience and being through all independent study to get to where Iam now, I am confident that I can help students who find studying alone difficult and overwhelming and help them come up with a routine and plan in order to release their stress. Due to being in a GCSE or A level position not long ago myself, makes my knowledge fresh and methods of study effective and relatable as I have been under the new GCSE and A level model of study. I am friendly, and would love to support any student in need of help, no matter how big or small the subject issue is. Also, I‘m flexible in working hours and times, and can be contacted at any day and sure to respond to any queries.

Active recall and assistance on problem solving and planning essay questions together based on the subject. Go through answers together and see where there is room for improvement
Experience in tutoring year 10/11 during my college. Mainly mentored 1-2 students per time. Past experience in retail jobs make me approachable, able to communicate to all ages very well. With studying a law degree, I'm confident at speaking to many people, able to solve issues, good at essay writing and writing structure, able to present PowerPoints and explain tasks very well and finally able to say which methods of learning are best for lots of information and remembering.
Ages able to teach: Teach GCSE Students (year 9–11) , A Level students.
Location: to take place online via teams or any other platform
Structure of lesson:
1. Go over the topic the student is struggling with
2. Try different methods of explaining
3. Once comfortable with a topic plan an exam question together
4. Do the question together as a guide (depending on length and time left of session)
5. Mark and Look at room for improvement
6. Finally recommend sources and make them available to the student for individual use or tutoring use.
Once familiar with students, I am able to plan sessions ahead of time.
