About Devin
I’m Devin Payne, a video editor, storyteller, and dad of two with over 14 years in the film, TV, and commercial world. I've worked on everything from fast-paced reality shows to heartfelt scripted pieces and local brand campaigns, wearing many hats behind the scenes to help bring stories to life. Editing, for me, isn’t just about cutting clips — it’s about finding rhythm, emotion, and purpose in every frame. It’s a skill I’ve spent over a decade honing, and now I get to share it with others who are just starting their journey. Outside of the studio, I’m a father first. Being a parent has made me even more patient, focused, and thoughtful — qualities I bring into every lesson I teach. Whether you’re diving into DaVinci Resolve for the first time or looking to sharpen your storytelling instincts, I’m here to make sure you feel confident, supported, and creatively inspired. Teaching beginners is something I truly enjoy — because I remember exactly what it felt like to start with nothing but curiosity and a drive to create.
