About Mallory
My journey as a teacher has been shaped by the experience of being a student myself. During my 10 years living in Florence, Italy, I immersed myself in the language and culture, learning Italian through real-life experiences and daily communication.
Being on the other side of the learning process has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges, frustrations, and rewards that come with learning a new language. It has made me a more patient, empathetic, and effective teacher because I truly understand what my students experience.
My years practicing and teaching karate have also influenced my approach to teaching, instilling the values of discipline, perseverance, confidence, and personal growth. Whether I am teaching English, Italian, or martial arts, my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to learn, grow, and achieve their goals.
