About Simone
I began my musical journey as a guitarist at a young age and, as a teenager, worked in rehearsal studios while touring with local bands. At 18, I moved to London to study at BIMM, where I first delved into music recording and production. I further refined my skills at Tileyard, which later employed me as a recording engineer after awarding me a distinction for my Master’s in Commercial Production in 2022. Since then, I’ve built a diverse roster as a recording, mixing engineer, and producer, working with artists such as Fat White Family, Bobby Gillespie, Sega Bodega, LSDXOXO, VTSS, and Flohio. My experience spans across various genres, from bands to electronic artists and rappers, in renowned London studios like Konk, Perry Vale Studio, Tileyard, Mr Dan's, and more. Alongside my production career, I have also toured and recorded as part of Heartworms, the Speedy Wunderground (Dan Carey) band.

I believe that the two fundamental, non-negotiable skills for any great producer, musician, or engineer are listening and taste. Just as sound follows a signal flow before reaching our ears, a deep understanding of the interconnected elements that make up a song, beat, or recording is essential. Mastering these components allows you to make informed creative choices and fully unlock the potential of an idea. In my lessons, we’ll focus on the specific areas you want to develop—covering the technical tools and skills necessary to bring your work to industry standards—while also sharpening your ear and refining your taste. Through active listening, research, and experimentation, you’ll not only learn the craft but also shape your own unique sound and artistic identity. Music Production – Beatmaking, arranging, workflow efficiency, and creative sound design. Mixing & Engineering – Achieving a polished, professional mix through the use of EQs, Compressors, Effects and more, diving into each one of them to fully understand them. Songwriting & Composition – Melody, harmony, lyrics, and structuring a song effectively. Recording Techniques – Microphone placement, gain staging, and working in different studio environments. All major DAWS (Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools) welcome. Lessons are customised to meet each student's unique needs and goals, welcoming all ages.
