About Fabricio Mattos
I am a classical guitarist, with about 20 years of teaching experience. I am a Masters in Guitar Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, where I am about to finish my PhD in Music Performance. I have very eclectic musical activities, from work with 18th- and 19th-century guitars to Latin-American and contemporary music.

I have a practice-based approach to classical guitar teaching for beginners to advanced students, with a huge focus on technique and eclectic repertoire. I can work either towards grade exams (e.g. ABRSM) or set a specific learning programme for each student, such as preparing for a Masters application. I always try to make my lessons serious but not too heavy, so the student can feel gradual improvement without being burdened with too much information or expectations.
