About Amelia
Hi, I’m Amelia Dawson, and I have 7 years of experience teaching guitar to beginners and intermediate students. I completed my education at University of Oregon, where I developed strong skills in music performance. My teaching style is friendly, practical, and encouraging. I have helped many students build confidence and enjoy playing guitar. I was awarded the Guitar Skill Development Award for helping students achieve steady progress. Outside teaching, I enjoy playing guitar and creating music.

In my guitar lessons, I guide you step by step in a relaxed and motivating way so you can build strong playing confidence. I will help you understand the topic you have been having trouble with, through clear explanations, useful examples, and a lot of guided and dynamic practice. We cover acoustic and electric guitar along with blues, rock, and jazz styles so you can explore different techniques. You will learn chords, rhythm, strumming patterns, scales, riffs, and solos in a simple and practical way. Together, we’ll make a subject you enjoy while building your confidence and musical flow. You can ask doubts anytime during the lesson and send your favorite songs before class so I can design the lesson according to your goals.
