About Cleo
I have been playing and teaching piano for over 9 years, and I hold a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. Music has always been more than performance for me—it is also about composition, creativity, and storytelling. I am deeply passionate about songwriting and helping others discover their own musical voice. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I believe that every student, whether in school, college, adulthood, or professional life, deserves lessons that inspire and challenge them. No two students are alike, so I adapt my approach to make learning personal and meaningful. I specialise in chord theory, sight-reading, performance skills, and improvisation. These areas give students not only technical strength but also freedom to express themselves confidently at the piano. Many of my students have advanced from intermediate to professional levels under my guidance, and I enjoy supporting ambitious learners as they refine their artistry. I bring the joy of jazz, the structure of classical, and the creativity of modern music into every lesson. Each session is designed to balance discipline with exploration, so students stay motivated and excited about their progress. My goal is always to nurture both skill and passion in equal measure. I believe piano lessons should be both structured and inspiring. With every student, I balance solid theory with creativity, so learning feels complete and enjoyable. My teaching combines technical growth with artistic expression. I guide students through structured theory to build a strong foundation. At the same time, I focus on listening skills and expressive playing, so the piano feels alive in their hands. Music is not only about notes but also about emotion, and I help students discover that connection. To keep lessons fun, I use movement-based rhythm games and creative exercises that make rhythm natural and memorable. I also mix traditional methods with modern tools, giving learners both discipline and flexibility. This way, every student finds their own path while still developing essential skills. I support those who want to compose, create, or experiment with digital sounds by helping them explore their ideas with confidence. For others, I encourage performance, improvisation, or simply playing for joy. Whatever the goal, I provide guidance that builds skill and passion together. My aim is to make each student not only a better player but also a more confident musician. With patience, creativity, and encouragement, I help them grow step by step. Every lesson is a chance to learn, explore, and fall in love with music even more.
