About Sean
I'm Sean Clancy.
In my career I have taught for 35 years, toured the world playing and giving clinics to many, many players.
I have lived in Eastern Europe, teaching and playing in Jazz Clubs and played with my own instrumental band in front of 60,000 people and many festivals.
I have won awards such as the semifinals in TVNZ's showcase, The Jim Bean talent contest and the Pamnure guitar contest.
I have attended the New Zealand School of Music Jazz course, led many bands and have produced 4 albums.
All the experience will be available to my students.

A good guitarist has good strum hand rhythm control, nice vibrato,
able to play solo lines that resolve on notes that harmonize with the current chord, understands the 6 possible chords used in most pop songs, limits chords to 3 notes, has a list of cool licks to use, can play authentically in a variety of styles.
