About Quoc
G'day everyone! I'm Quoc, a high school senior. I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City (so I speak with a southern accent) until recently, when I moved to the U.S. I may not have formal teaching experience, but I understand the challenges of learning a new language — I was once in an English-focused program at a selective high school in Vietnam. I believe that experience helps me relate to learners better, because I know what it’s like to struggle, make mistakes, and slowly build confidence. I also stay connected with how Vietnamese is spoken among the younger generation — slang, memes, and all — which makes lessons more fun and up-to-date. Now, I love helping others explore the Vietnamese language and culture in a way that’s encouraging, patient, and easy to connect with.
