About Paul

I lived in China for 6 years and returned to Australia 4 years ago. I loved learning Mandarin (speaking, reading and writing). I taught English in China, and now I can teach Chinese in Australia. I have past experience tutoring maths and science. I am qualified with Chinese competency level 5.

About the lesson

It would depend on an initial assessment of the students abilities/age etc. I would prefer to be a guide to share with the student the methods I used to study Mandarin to a highly proficient level, and allow the student to build a strong understanding and foundation.
