About Jace

With a strong academic background and proven success in helping students excel, I bring both expertise and dedication to every lesson. I understand the pressures of the Leaving Cert English exam and have guided students to top grades, including a H1 achievement. My teaching style is patient, clear, and tailored to each student’s unique needs, ensuring they build not only skills but also confidence. I take pride in maintaining a professional and supportive learning environment where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated. Whether you’re preparing for Junior Cycle or Leaving Certificate English, I am committed to helping you achieve your best results with practical strategies and personalized guidance. Subjects offered Leaving Certificate: Mathematics Applied Mathematics Physics Chemistry English Junior Cycle Mathematics Science English Business Studies Graphics I have helped many students get the grade they deserve be it H1's or passing Higher Level. As someone who completed my Leaving Certificate a few years ago I have invaluable experience of what student life is like during secondary school and can thus tailor the tutoring I offer in the most appropriate way that will allow my students to succeed. Jace helped me understand a lot of concepts that needed further explanation and boosted my grades by providing constant feedback and corrections, improving my exam technique and comprehension of difficult topics -Elizabeth Leahy, Belfield Jace taught two of my kids doing Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle this year and I have no doubt that it was his weekly lessons that brought up their results by at least two grades and enabled them to stick with higher maths. He showed great patience and encouragement every week, getting to know their individual abilities and problems and ensuring they understood the various concepts and topics. He went above and beyond the weekly lessons by setting work, following up and correcting it during the week. But it was his good humor and passion for maths which he was keen to pass on that helped us through this stressful exam year! -Nicola Leahy, Belfield My daughter Niamh sat Higher Maths in her Leaving Cert. She needed some help and John was recommended to me by a friend. John is an amazing young man. He gave Niamh Maths grinds each Saturday morning for a year, going way beyond what was expected of him. He often stayed well beyond the time he was paid for. Before her Leaving Cert he gave her extra grinds and also had zoom calls with her. Niamh would regularly send him Maths work which he would correct in his own home. John is a very kind, helpful, considerate and talented young man and thanks to his help Niamh did very well in Higher Maths in her leaving cert and will get her 1st choice in college. I would highly recommend John to any parent looking for grinds for their child. Regards -Theresa Hannan, Killester Stefan did well got very good results and he is probably going to get into DCU doing Physics. Thank you for everything. He got a H3 in Maths and 500 points altogether. Thanks again for your hard work and preparation for each tuition. Your perseverance and belief paid off. -Gina Maier, Rialto

I focus on building strong foundations in essay writing, comprehension, and comparative analysis by breaking down complex texts into clear, manageable parts.

My lessons are interactive and personalised, adapting to each student’s pace and goals. Typically, lessons last 60 minutes.

I have experience helping students achieve top Leaving Cert results, including a student who earned an H1 in English. I tutor Junior and Leaving Cert students, as well as adult learners seeking to improve their English skills.

My method combines clear explanations, practical exercises, and exam techniques to boost confidence and grades.
