About Chris
Studying English can be difficult. I know because I was part of the first year to transition into the 9-1 grading system across all subjects. Despite this, through trial and error I found a way to achieve 9s in both Language and Literature, dropping just 6marks overall in Literature. Now, I want to show you what worked for me, and how it can help you gain a greater understanding of Literary works.

Do you a truggle with creative writing? Or maybe PEAs just don’t make sense? In my lessons we’ll take a fully comprehensive approach to studying English Language and Literature at the GCSE level, including how to construct your paragraphs, what the writer’s intentions really means and how to talk about it, and how to cleverly communicate your ideas on the page.
We will analyse everything from your actual syllabus to fictional novels, modern literature, poetry and anything else you have interest in. At the heart of it all, getting good at English is about reading a lot and understanding what drives writers to create. This will help not only in your own analysis but also your creative writing.
