About Marissa
I’m patient, empathetic, and skilled at explaining ideas clearly so that my students feel supported and understood. Growing up, I wasn’t as academically strong as others and often learned at a slower pace. This experience taught me patience, resilience, and empathy, and pushed me to work very hard. Because of that, I’ve learned how to simplify complex concepts into manageable steps, making them easier to grasp. My goal as a tutor is not just to help students improve their grades, but also to teach them how to learn — so that their studying journey feels less overwhelming and a lot more achievable.

- My teaching methodology focuses on identifying weak areas, breaking down concepts step by step, and using customised strategies to match each student’s learning style.
- Lessons are typically 1.5-2 hours (with breaks provided when needed to keep students focused)
- I graduated A levels with A in H2 Maths and Bio, and A1 in O levels Maths and Sciences
- To date, I have taught 13 students in Maths and Science for primary 4 - secondary 5 students (10-17 year olds)
