About Lakshmi
Hi, I’m Lakshmi.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science at Monash University and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
Psychology has always been something I genuinely enjoy and not just studying it, but understanding how theories connect to real human behavior. Because of my academic background and current clinical training, I’m able to guide students beyond memorization and help them truly understand the subject.
I’m calm, patient, and structured in the way I teach. I understand how overwhelming Psychology can feel at A-Level, especially when it comes to evaluation and essay writing. My goal is to make it clearer and more manageable.

My lessons are structured but flexible depending on each student’s needs.
Before we begin regular sessions, I usually assess:
• Areas of difficulty
• Understanding of core theories
• Essay writing skills
• Exam goals
For A-Level Psychology, I focus on:
• Breaking down theories and studies into simple frameworks
• Teaching structured essay writing (AO1, AO2, AO3)
• Improving evaluation and critical analysis skills
• Helping students apply theories correctly in exam questions
• Strengthening exam technique and time management
I emphasise understanding over memorisation. When students understand the logic behind a theory or study, it becomes much easier to write confidently and score higher.
Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s focus and pace.
I aim to create a comfortable space where students feel safe asking questions and developing confidence in their thinking.
