About Amelia
Hello, I'm Ms. Hayes. I spent 8 years working as a librarian and archivist, where my job was to make complex information clear and accessible to everyone. I believe that every math problem is a puzzle waiting to be organized. For my younger students (Grades K-8), we work on sorting numbers, finding patterns, and building a strong "catalog" of core math facts. For my high schoolers (Grades 9-12), I teach them how to approach complex Algebra and Geometry problems like a research project: we identify the key information, create a plan, and find the solution in a clear, step-by-step way.
