About John Christian

Aloha! My name is John Christian, and I am a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines, currently teaching English Language Arts at a public high school in Hawaiʻi, USA.

I graduated from Northwestern University in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, and have pursued graduate studies in English Language and Literature Teaching.

With over six years of teaching experience in both the Philippines and the United States, I have worked with students from elementary school through college. My professional background includes teaching English language and literature, academic writing, reading comprehension, and communication skills.

Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a strong passion for helping students overcome learning challenges, discover their strengths, and become confident communicators. I believe that a good teacher does more than explain lessons—we inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students recognize their potential.

As a tutor, I am patient, approachable, supportive, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I understand that learning a language can sometimes be challenging, but with the right guidance, encouragement, and consistent practice, everyone can improve.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge, learning alongside my students, and helping them achieve their academic and personal goals!
