About Jennylyn

Hello! I am Jennylyn Sambalilo Villahermosa, a Licensed Professional Teacher and certified English Specialist with over 14 years of dedicated experience in education and language instruction. I hold internationally recognized TESOL and TEFL certifications, and I have successfully taught thousands of learners from Japan, China, Europe, South America, and beyond — both in physical classrooms and online settings.
Why You Can Trust My Expertise
My background combines strong academic qualifications, practical teaching experience, and professional development:
I am fully licensed and trained to teach all levels of English, from basic conversation to advanced professional communication.
I specialize in General English, Business English, IELTS/TOEIC preparation, and inclusive instruction for learners with different needs, including SPED students.
Beyond teaching, I have hands-on experience in Human Resources, administration, and training coordination, which means I am highly organized, reliable, and committed to consistent quality.
I continuously update my skills through seminars and specialized training in curriculum design, pronunciation, and modern teaching methods.
My Promise to You
I believe learning should be effective, enjoyable, and stress-free. My lessons are personalized to your goals, whether you want to improve daily conversation, advance your career, pass an exam, or build confidence in speaking. I create a safe, patient, and encouraging environment where mistakes are seen as part of progress — and I will guide you every step of the way with clear explanations and constructive feedback.
You can count on me to be punctual, prepared, and professional in every session. Let’s work together to unlock your full potential in English!

My Approach as a Tutor & How I Share Knowledge
Teaching Method and Techniques
With 14+ years of teaching experience, I use a learner-centered and communicative approach that focuses on real language use rather than just memorization. My techniques include:
Communicative Language Teaching: Prioritize speaking, listening, and practical application so students can use English confidently in daily, academic, or business situations.
Customized Instruction: Adapt lessons to match the student’s pace, interests, and specific goals — no “one-size-fits-all” materials.
Positive Reinforcement: I correct errors gently and explain the rules clearly, creating a safe environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes as part of learning.
Interactive Tools: Use visual aids, dialogues, role-plays, articles, emails, and multimedia resources to make lessons engaging and relevant.
Structured Guidance: Combine clear explanations with consistent practice, drawing from my training in curriculum design and classroom management.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Every session follows a clear, effective structure:
Warm-up & Review (5–10 mins)
Recap previous lessons, check progress, and start with simple conversation to build confidence.
Lesson Objective (5 mins)
State clearly what we will learn and how it will help the student reach their goals.
Presentation & Input (10–15 mins)
Introduce new vocabulary, grammar, or communication skills with clear examples and context.
Guided Practice (15–20 mins)
Practice together through exercises, dialogues, or short tasks, with immediate feedback and support.
Independent Application (10–15 mins)
Student uses the new knowledge on their own — speaking, writing, or role-playing — to build fluency.
Feedback & Wrap-up (5–10 mins)
Highlight strengths, note areas for improvement, and assign short practice work if agreed upon.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
Strong Credentials: Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) with TESOL and TEFL certifications, plus specialized training in IELTS, TOEIC, and Business English.
Wide Experience: Taught students from Japan, China, Europe, South America, and other regions, so I understand different cultural backgrounds and learning styles.
Diverse Skills: Experienced in general education, special needs support (SPED), and professional training, plus HR/administrative background that helps me organize learning effectively.
Proven Results: My lessons are practical, goal-oriented, and designed to help students improve quickly and stay motivated.
Flexible & Patient: I adapt easily to changes and provide consistent support whether you are learning for school, work, or travel.
