About Amanda
As your tutor, I will guide you towards your goals. Your happiness and motivation are my priority. I will make sure you have the tools and skills necessary to take what you learn with me, to your future academic and professional ventures. I am happy to help you in various subjects as I have taught students of all ages and grades in all subjects (math, science, history, geography, religion, art, etc.). I am a very friendly and approachable teacher, so feel free to ask me anything and never be embarrassed to ask for help. We are lifelong learners! I have taught students K-12 and beyond how to become better readers, writers, speakers, presenters, and researchers. With experience as an Education Coordinator, I have experience delivering assessments to and creating individualized programs for students of every age and ability based on their unique needs. In the classroom, I deliver lessons using a variety of methods. During my time teaching on a First Nations reservation, I have experience working with children of trauma backgrounds, and racial segregation. I am a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, who always puts my students' needs first. I am equipped through years of experience to deliver lessons inclusively, equitably, and with social-emotional knowledge of religious, cultural, racial, and economic factors. I build professional relationships with my students, putting them in the centre of my practice.
