About Olivia
I am a college student who studies Comparative Literature and Linguistics at a university in the United States. I began studying linguistics when I noticed my talent for learning French quickly in middle school and began studying French and other Latin based languages intensively, which lead to me learning online from native speakers and branching out to teaching ESL to French students online.
I began tutoring students online on various platforms such as Young Writer's Society and Hello Talk in 2017 and started teaching international transfer students on campus in 2020.

My mission is to make learning ESL for today's youth accessible, simple, and relatable.
Unlike other teachers that focus on textbooks, homework, and lectures my lesson plans utilize mainstream media from television, music, and film to increase student's listening and interpreting skills, self expression like creative writing, and simulated real-life situations to practice their conversational english first hand.
I aim my lessons for elementary to middle school age to high school age students.
