About Dylan
My name is Dylan Potter, and I am a linguistics student at Griffith University. I am 23 years old, and in my spare time enjoy reading, singing, attending church services, studying history and theology, and learning new languages. I'm passionate about languages, and teaching them. I intend, upon completing my bachelors degree, to do a masters in education, so that I can combine my love of languages and love of teaching in the future.
I began learning French in 2017, and have improved greatly in the language, and study it as a minor at university, and according to the CEFRL have a C1 level.
However, even before finishing my studies, I have had the blessing to begin teaching languages as a volunteer at the Saint Sava Serbian School since 2022, teaching the Serbian language to late-primary and early-high school aged students, and I rejoice greatly in seeing how they progress in learning their mother tongue and enjoy speaking it.

My focus is on helping students not only to understand what they read, and to pass their assessments, but also on students improving their French skills so that they can at the very least travel comfortably in French-speaking countries, and at best have extended career opportunities in such industries as business, media, tourism, diplomacy, and many more where the world's 6th most widely spoken language is useful. My classes are tailored based on what the students are learning at their school, so that they can get the best possible academical results.
A typical lesson would ideally be somewhere between 40 and 60 minutes, so that the student can get time to learn a sufficient amount but without being overloaded with information.
My lessons are for high school students, whether it be that they are struggling with their subjects at school, or if they have the desire to go deeper in what they are learning.
