About Salma
I’m originally from Syria and grew up and studied in China, where I majored in Finance. Growing up in an international environment gave me a strong appreciation for different languages and cultures. I speak English, Arabic, and Chinese fluently, and I enjoy helping students feel comfortable and confident when learning.
I’m friendly, patient, and easy to communicate with, and I always aim to create a positive and encouraging environment for my students. Outside of tutoring, I’m a very active person. I love traveling, playing sports, especially basketball, and spending time outdoors. I especially enjoy hiking, exploring new places, and trying different outdoor activities.

My lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual goals, level, and learning style. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
I have over 7 years of tutoring experience, both in person and online, working with students of different ages and levels. I have taught children as young as 3–10 years old, as well as adults aged 18–40.
Each lesson is carefully planned around the student’s needs, whether they want to improve their English speaking skills, build confidence, strengthen their understanding of a subject, or receive extra academic support. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, practical, and effective.
