About Jess
I work freely, letting my intuition guide me to develop deeply personal works through a meditative process. I create paintings that are often large in scale, allowing myself to be fully immersed in the creative journey. I find painting to be incredibly healing and use it as a visual journal to express and explore emotional states, simultaneously grounding and inspiring my soul. My work is an authentic expression of my innermost thoughts and feelings, finding sanctuary within the universal force of unconditional love. Each of my paintings contains elements of symbolism, abstraction, and organic flow, with key motifs spanning numerous works. I take time to deepen and develop ideas for my paintings over a period of months, allowing them to evolve and take on a life of their own. My creative talent was recognised from a young age, having received numerous awards for her exceptional artwork, musical ability, and poetry. I held the prestigious art scholarship in combination with a specially-designed music award at King's High School Warwick for five years, before further pursuing my passion for the arts further at the Chetham's School of Music, in Manchester, where I studied Art, Music, and Music Technology, obtaining 3 A*s. My artwork has been exhibited at various venues throughout the UK, including the Southbank Centre in London, where my work ‘NOTHING IS PERMANENT’ was met with great admiration and positive acclaim as part of a collaborative project with mezzo-soprano Mia Serracino and violinist, collaborative artist, and composer Daniel Pioro. I currently study Fine Art with the inspirational Jaany Ravenscroft-Hull. In 2021, I was appointed as the Artist in Residence at Newson Health in Stratford-upon-Avon, where my art has had a profound and positive impact on the local community.
