About Suprya
I’m a London College of Fashion graduate with a Master’s degree in International Business and a qualified teacher with extensive experience in Fashion, Textiles, Art and Design.
Before teaching, I created and ran my own fashion brand, gaining first-hand experience of developing collections, creating technical drawings and specifications, sourcing and working with factories, and taking products from initial concept through to production.
I particularly love teaching fashion illustration and watercolour techniques, helping students experiment with colour, line and different ways of communicating their fashion ideas visually. I also enjoy helping aspiring designers develop their own individual style and turn an initial idea into a coherent collection.
My experience allows me to combine the creative, technical and commercial sides of fashion. Whether someone wants to develop their drawing and presentation skills, build a portfolio, create a collection or understand how designs move towards production, I enjoy helping them develop the confidence and knowledge to take their ideas further.

My lessons are tailored to the individual, so we start with your goals, current level and the kind of fashion work you want to develop. I combine creative exploration with clear guidance, helping students build confidence in their own ideas rather than simply copying a set style.
A typical lesson might include developing a concept or mood board, exploring fashion illustration and watercolour techniques, refining design ideas, developing a collection, or reviewing portfolio work. I use demonstrations, visual examples, discussion and practical tasks, with feedback throughout so that each session moves your work forward.
I can support beginners, teenagers exploring fashion, students preparing portfolios, and anyone wanting to strengthen their creative fashion-design skills. Lessons can be adapted around a specific project, qualification or portfolio brief, or used more freely to develop your own personal style and creative direction.
My approach is supportive but purposeful: I want students to leave each lesson with stronger work, clearer ideas and a better understanding of how to develop fashion concepts with originality and confidence.
I think that fits this ad better than the old broader version because it keeps the focus firmly on Fashion Design + Illustration + Portfolio Mentoring, leaving product development/business for the second ad.

Details
My lessons are bespoke and structured around your individual goals, current level and creative interests. We begin by identifying what you want to achieve, then I plan each session to move you towards that outcome in a clear and purposeful way.
A typical lesson may include developing a concept or mood board, exploring fashion illustration and watercolour techniques, refining design ideas, building a cohesive collection, or reviewing portfolio work. I use demonstrations, visual examples, discussion and practical tasks, with focused feedback throughout.
Students are welcome to bring an existing sketchbook, portfolio, project or brief, or I can structure a programme of lessons around a new project from the outset. I particularly enjoy teaching fashion illustration, watercolour techniques, collection development and portfolio presentation.
Lessons are usually one hour and taught online. They are designed to help students develop stronger work, clearer ideas and a more confident individual creative voice.
