About Samaya

Hi! I’m Samaya, a Northville High School graduate and current University of Michigan student studying Business at the Ross School of Business. In high school, I maintained a 4.0 GPA, completed 10 AP/IB courses, and earned the AP Scholar Award. I’ve worked with students of all ages and have experience supporting a wide range of learning styles, personalities, and academic needs. I’m patient, encouraging, dependable, and easy to work with, and I try to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I adapt my teaching style to each student and focus on making challenging material feel clear and manageable. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build stronger study habits, confidence, and independence along the way.

About the lesson

Hi everyone! I’m Samaya, a Northville High School graduate (Class of 2024) and current University of Michigan student studying Business at the Ross School of Business.
In high school, I maintained a 4.0 GPA, completed 10 AP/IB courses, and earned the AP Scholar Award. I have experience tutoring students from 1st through 12th grade and tailor my teaching style to each student’s learning needs, whether they need help understanding difficult concepts, completing assignments, preparing for tests, improving their writing, or building stronger study habits.

Subjects I tutor include:
• High school English
• Math through Algebra 2
• AP Macroeconomics
• AP Microeconomics
• AP Psychology
• Writing and essay support
• Business courses
• General academic and test-prep support

I’m also familiar with platforms including Schoology, Google Classroom, Canvas, WebAssign, and more, so I can easily work alongside students’ existing coursework.

Fall 2026 Virtual Tutoring Availability
• AP/IB course tutoring: $55/hour
• All other courses: $50/hour

If you’re looking for a patient, organized, and encouraging tutor who can make challenging material easier to understand, I’d love to connect and see if I’d be a good fit.
