About Simon
I have over 20 years teaching experience. I have a Cambridge University Diploma in teaching English as a Foreign language to both adults and kids. I also have a degree in English Literature from Sheffield University.
I live in Oxford in the summer and Istanbul the rest of the year where I work in an international school full time as a Language Specialist.
I plan lessons and activities according to the needs and learning styles of my students. I believe that learning happens best when my students are interested and motivated. I therefore plan lessons not just relating to the needs of my students but also their interests.
Finally, I always try to help students develop their independence as learners. This means I try to help my students improve how they learn.
