About Melvin
I tutor Mathematics and Economics at GCSE and A-level, bringing A*s in both subjects, an A* in Further Maths A level, and a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics. I’m approachable, and make lessons clear, interactive, and fun, always focused on building confidence as well as grades.
I’ve mentored many students and helped them improve their results, so I know how to support pupils who need that extra boost. Outside tutoring, I’m into boxing and football, which often helps me connect with students. Above all, I’m dedicated to helping pupils feel supported and succeed.

I take a student-focused approach, tailoring each session to your needs. A typical lesson is 1 hour, starting with a quick recap, clear explanations of key topics, and lots of practice to build confidence. I finish with a short summary and next steps which can include homework if you desire. My lessons are ideal for GCSE and A-Level students who want to strengthen understanding, boost grades, and feel more confident in exams. I'm an LSE BSc Economics Graduate and have achieved A*A*A* in my A levels for Further Maths, Maths and Economics.

Melvin’s always been the person people go to when they don’t get something. He’s patient, clear, and doesn’t mind going over things until it clicks.
