• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  I started using a computer when I was in grade 8, I found it too complicated and hard to use and I insisted on learning to make the best use of it. I struggled a lot to learn (and still there are some advanced issues I struggle with) but I'm happy that I'm learning every day.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  Data science is my passion and I believe that it will be a turning point in this field.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  I'm a data engineer, I'm 2 years experienced in the industry. I'm interested in new inventions and new research on the data science field which is a very promising field to have your research on. It's very important because you need to be aware of all updates that would help you solve many problems either faster or more efficiently.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  Yes of course they are inspiring but I have another role model which is Elon Musk

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  When I was 13, I attended the ICDL course, I was the youngest learner then and I passed all the exams in English (a foreign language) on the first time. and then I started attending multiple courses related to computer maintenance and basic programming and I joined a competition sponsored by the Orthodox Church and won the first prize in programming.
  All of that made me get the highest grades in the computer science subject at school which was very motivational.

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  All tech giants struggle with some issues while working, no one does any job too smoothly with no struggles or hard tasks. IT is like any other skill that requires commitment and patience, and divides the big task into small sub-tasks. If you one to have these 2 skills, they will excel in any field specially IT and that is what I'm working on with my students.

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  I'm passionate about new technologies, how technology reshapes the world and does more powerful things like miracles.
  Also, I'm passionate about cooking and preparing tasty food.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  That I'm passionate about teaching others all the knowledge I have and help them strengthen their curiosity towards their intended field.
