About Alexandra
I am a marine ecologist (B.Sc., M.Sc.) currently studying for a PhD, with a background in marine environmental scientific consultancy, research and conservation. I have been teaching in some guise for several years in marine science and languages, for general knowledge and working towards certification.

My methodology is to understand what the student needs and work towards their goals. My primary role is to coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material, and to measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like projects, student portfolios, and class participation. In my classroom, teaching and assessment are connected because student learning is continuously measured during teacher instruction.
