My expertise and passion for helping students unlock their learning potential led me to found Hampstead & Frognal Tutors in 2010.
I have been teaching Mathematics for 20 years (over 20000 hours of teaching and tuition) and have experience from KS1 7+, KS2, 10+, 11+,13+ 13+ Pretest, 13+ Common Entrance through to GCSE & A-level. See list above. I have taught overseas at the International school of Oporto, then taught at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School for four years, and at South Hampstead High School where I was Head of Mathematics 2007-2008, then Head of House.
From 2006 - 2010 I was a member of the Girl's School consortium for writing the 11+ entrance papers that includes Francis Holland, Heathfield, Notting Hill and Ealing, Queen's, St Albans, St Helen's, SHHS, Channing, City of London School for Girls, More House, North London Collegiate School, Northwood College, St James's, Godolphin & Latymer.
My expertise and passion for helping students unlock their learning potential led me to found Hampstead & Frognal Tutors in 2010. Our company has a top success rate for exam entrance preparation, GCSEs and A-levels in North and Central London. My role at H&FTutors includes tutor training, recruitment and consultancy for advice to parents on school choice including school entry.

- Where do you teach?
ONLINE and Temple Fortune, Golders Green NW11
I teach at our Wework office in Marylebone, 119 Marylebone Rd, Marylebone, London NW1 5PU. We also have an office in Frognal NW3 and at students homes in Belgravia, Kensington, Chelsea, Hampstead, Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, Maida Vale, St John's Wood, West Hampstead, Westminster, Primrose Hill and the surrounding area. The nearest stations are Baker Street (2mins walk) Finchley Road (7mins walk) Jubilee/met lines, Hampstead (11mins walk) northern line, and the Frognal & Finchley Overground (4mins walk).
I can also travel to the students home outside this area. (travel expenses would be incurred)
For the overseas courses I travel anywhere worldwide depending on availability.
- When are you available?
I am available for one to one tuition from 0900-2000 Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays 0900 to 1400. Also available for block bookings of tuition during school holidays and summer holidays. When I am fully booked I can assign an alternative tutor from my company Hampstead & Frognal Tutors. I recruit and train the Hampstead & Frognal Tutors and direct the 11+ and 13+ Booster courses.

I also provide coaching for gifted and talented pupils in Olympiad and Mathematics challenge training. I can offer a discount for this if there are two pupils or for block bookings.

Andrew was offered a conditional place at Eton. Mark's tuition was first rate and we continue to hire Mark for 13+ prep Westminster and St. Paul's.
My daughter was very rusty with her maths especially as she was in a different system (American). Mark provided excellent advice on the correct resources and then concentrated on developing Anna's mathematical ability through routine examples and exam technique. We must have done 40 practice papers with Mark and homework's and finally she was offered a place at City Girls.
Top maths tutor who knows many secrets to helping get students top marks in entrance exams. James attends a mediocre prep and Mark spent 10 sessions with him to prepare for UCS and Highgate 13+ pre-test. Alas James was accepted to UCS and Highgate (only 8 places were available this year 2014).
Mark is one of the best maths tutors we have ever known!Extremely pleased we found Mark last year. We used Mark for tutoring our son maths for the 13+ Highgate and UCS, and we also used a couple of English tutors from his team. The results that our son achieved surpassed our expectations and he was offered both UCS and Highgate where there were only 6 places.
We were extremely pleased with the tuition provided by Mark for our son. He has a patient approach and we felt that the structure and guidance boosted confidence. He was prepared successfully for Highgate, our first choice school. We also took up the offer of two of the English tutors he works with, one for creative writing and the other to focus on comprehensions and reasoning. We will no doubt be back if our son requires support in the future.

I am currently running online lessons through lessonspace, a fully integrated platform with mic and camera. Lessons are recordable so that you can go back and review any learning points. Online lessons would require advanced payment. I would suggest we have a brief phone call before the lessons start to ensure that I can fully understand your child's requirements in regards to raising attainment in mathematics.
