About Lavanya

I am a dedicated Maths tutor with over 2 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Economics. My focus is on non-Euclidean geometry, a field that challenges conventional ideas of space and shape. I explore curved spaces, including hyperbolic and spherical geometries, to show how mathematics extends beyond flat surfaces. Visual models and diagrams are central to my lessons, making abstract concepts tangible and engaging.
I also provide historical context, highlighting how mathematicians like Gauss and Riemann revolutionized the study of geometry. Many of my students are drawn to abstract geometry, theoretical physics, and the philosophy of mathematics, seeking to understand the deeper implications of space and structure.
