About James
I have experience working with students in the classroom as well as online; I have coached as well. Whether students have jobs, sports, or cultural commitments, I am almost always willing to meet them halfway, as I understand that life is complex with many moving parts. I do have expectations and as long as those expectations are not taken advantage of, I always work with my students.

My teaching style is very down to earth while maintaining professionalism, patience, and dedication. A typical lesson plan contains a warm-up activity and an introduction to material for the lesson, content-based material, and then something the student and I can work on together, with various levels of teacher interaction (depending on the student's needs).
What sets me apart as an instructor is that I am committed to my pupils and their learning; no matter what level they are at I plan to meet them at their level and together try and raise that level. I make myself available and usually respond to my pupils promptly, so they are not left wondering or idle.
Most of my lessons are for middle school/junior high school students, as well as high school/secondary students, but not exclusively. I am also able to work with ML/ESL students effectively.
