About Simone
After a high school diploma in Milan, carried by my love for the subject, I decided to enroll in the Faculty of Philosophy of the State University of Milan. Here I am particularly interested in the history of philosophy and moral philosophy, to then graduate with 110/110 and honors. At the beginning of my master's degree in the same university, I win an Erasmus scholarship and move to study in the Netherlands at the University of Amsterdam, where I study and work for about a year, significantly enhancing my spoken and written English. Back in Milan, having always had a passion for theater, I decided to stop my university career and try to access one of the six professionalizing theatrical academies in Italy. I am selected with ten other companions on a shortlist of 500 candidates and for two years I live intensely and full time as an actor, and then graduate with a gold medal. After my theatrical training, I took up my university career again and I graduated with full marks.

In my lessons I aim first of all to understand who sits in front of me, trying to establish a dialogue based on empathy with him / her. The Greek philosopher Plato argued that all knowledge passes through "eros";, understood as love for knowledge, as a passion for knowing and learning through someone else. If I look back, the teachers who left a trace on me were the ones who sent me the enthusiasm for knowledge, an enthusiasm that I try to bring also in my lessons. In addition to trying to arouse the enthusiasm of those in front of me, I believe that it is fundamental, especially in the humanities, to pay attention to the words that are used, so I try, if necessary, to strengthen the vocabulary and knowledge of the meanings of the students. The more words we have, the more we can read the reality around us. Finally, I am very careful to arouse the curiosity of those in front of me, because it is through curiosity that the desire to learn arises.
