Katiann has a warm and professional personality. This made me feel very comfortable coming to her with questions related to music. When I had the opportunity to work with her, she listened intently to what I had to say and created an atmosphere that helped me accomplish my goals.

I served as Katiann's choral music professor at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, where I witnessed both her remarkable musical talent and her passion for helping others. She has the unique ability to take the abstract concepts of music theory and break them down logically, helping her students achieve "lightbulb" moments in the process. She approaches music theory through a performer's perspective (opera, piano, and clarinet are all in her wheelhouse!); this unique experience, combined with her prodigious skill, patience, and unfailingly kind demeanor, would make her an excellent music theory tutor for anyone.
