I am a teacher and a writer. I have been tutoring students in college-level writing for four years. I have also been a teacher for ESL students the past six months, but I had many English as a second language students throughout my teaching career.

I believe it is essential to have creative freedom with light humor in the classroom because it creates a comfortable environment to share thoughts, ideas, and foster serious thinking. I also have a more open teaching structure where the students converse and share ideas with the guidance of a teacher to promote critical thinking.
