About Jonathan
Tell us a little about you ?
Bonjour, My name is Jonathan I’m from France. I grew up in a small town which is located an hour away from Paris. I am a French teacher as a second language. I am passionate about my job, I love teaching and I enjoy interacting with my students.
What does fascinate you about teaching ?
I have decided to become a teacher to help people and make a difference in this modern society. I have found teaching to be one of the most rewarding profession, as I can endow my students with the knowledge, skills and competences they are longing to obtain.
Why are you a good teacher ? And what are your teaching methods?
I believe to be a good teacher for different reasons. I am patient, a good listener and dedicated. Fulfilling my students needs in learning is my first objective in each class. I use modern communicative methods to teach my students, by providing them the right phrases, idioms, corrections they should use for every speaking situations they will face. As a modern educator, I always prepare my students to outperform themselves in their future roles. I design personalised materials for students of all ages and levels. All materials are provided in my lessons via interactive presentations for a more practical and interactive learning experience.
Tell us about your teaching experience?
I have taught French as a second language in several countries around the world, but China is the country where I had made most of my teaching experience as I worked there for 4 years. Thanks to my passion about teaching I have developed a large variety of teaching materials going from absolute beginners to advanced levels. DELF, SAT, TCF, A-level are some of the examinations I have successfully helped my students with. Being able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of my students enabled me to prepare specialised and tailored lessons for my students.
