Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in the learning process. I adapt my teaching methodology to cater to the diverse needs of my students, incorporating a combination of lectures, discussions, interactive activities, and practical exercises. I also emphasise the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving skills to help students apply psychological concepts to real-world scenarios.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
The typical length of a lesson depends on the level and needs of the students. For individual tutoring sessions, I usually recommend 60-minute sessions to allow sufficient time for in-depth discussions and addressing specific concerns. However, for group lessons or personal preference, the length of each lesson may vary based on the curriculum and schedule.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Master of Research in Neuroscience. Therefore, I am equipped with an understanding of the curriculum of psychology from all levels, and keep up to date with the newest advances in the psychological field. I have experience working as a research assistant at the University of Leicester in which I have helped students in understanding complex psychological concepts and improving their study skills. My experience also extends to providing guidance and support to students with diverse learning abilities and backgrounds.
